Nawa Interconnect Kit

Interconnects - to an audio manufacturer the only market that seems more saturated than loudspeakers is interconnects. So why would we bother to come up with a new interconnect? Well, it all has to do with a decision we made back when Bottlehead was starting out. In order to create tube audio kits that delivered the highest performance for the best price a unique chassis platform was created. Each Bottlehead amp and preamp uses a single chassis plate to which all electronic components are mounted, resting in an attractive and cost effective wood base. The unconventional format means that RCA jacks were mounted vertically on the chassis plates. This broke one of the unspoken rules of mainstream audio by creating a look that pretty much said 'science fair project', with interconnects sticking straight up into the air. The solution was to use right angle RCA adapters to allow the cables to come away from the equipment in a more graceful manner. We tried this for a while, but we found the supply of reasonably priced high quality right angle adapters to be spotty at best. And so we decided to offer bang for the buck custom cables with your choice of right angle and/or straight RCA plugs. In our search for cables we came across a custom cable maker who could build to order a cable with any combination of right angle and straight plugs, in lengths ranging from 1/2 meter (excellent for Seduction to Foreplay connections) to 2 meters (perhaps to connect your Foreplay to your Bottlehead monoblock amps) in 1/2 meter steps.
We sold these assembled cables for a couple of years. Recently our cable maker worked up a way to make these factory assembled cables available as kits while still retaining their durability. Kits are what we're all about, so we jumped on the opportunity to offer you a kit cable to go with your kit electronics.

The parts used are proven and reliable - Cardas RCA plugs and a high quality Canare StarQuad cable wired in the popular "double balanced" low noise configuration and clearly marked "Load" and "Source" to allow for proper orientation of the internal shield. The wiring configuration means noise rejection of sources like fluorescent light ballasts and dimmer switches is very good while capacitance is kept low enough to allow for cable lengths up to 2 meters.
