Photographic prints by Dan "Doc B." Schmalle

Maple leaf, Sherman Hill, 2005 12x18 $35

Some of you may know that I do the photography for Bottlehead and The Tape Project. I've also had a photo or two published in a technical book. I am what is typically called an "advanced amateur" photographer on internet forums. Presumably an advanced amateur is one who spends as ridiculous an amount of time and money on photography as a pro does, but he isn't smart enough to get paid for his photos. At the request of some of our customers I am making a few of my favorite photos available at a reasonable price. Perhaps this will help make me seem smarter and move my amateur status a rung or two up the photographic ladder.

Prints are pigmented ink on art quality matte finish paper, printed at 1440 dpi. As I add to this collection print sizes may vary depending upon what I feel is the optimal size for the given image, but most are 12" x 18" images printed on 13" x 19" paper. Prints are shipped rolled in tubes. Shipping is included in the price.

You may find the colors in these images more subdued than a lot of what you see on the web. I attempt to recreate the natural color saturation that I see when I take the photo, rather than hyping up the color in Photoshop.
