In looking at the schematic and then building the Blue Velvet Preamp according to schematic - http://www.blackdahlia.com/html/tip_44.html - I am not sure how to read the wiring of 2,4,& 7.  I did what I thought was correct and it is not right as get no voltage drop across the pair of tubes.  Could someone please provide specific instructions on how to wire these tubes to each other and then to ground?

Still love my Foreplay III, just looking for something to compare

I count 5 tubes and there are a lot of things labeled 2, 4 & 7.  Which are you having trouble with?
