As my circuits get a tad more complicated with snubbers, regulators etc., I'm planning to use small perf boards more. I've been using cheap Rat Shack boards or the ones that Fry's stock but I was wondering if there are better ones available.
By better, I mean more rugged and maybe with "through hole" pads.

BTW, if it isn't obvious, I'm talking about ones that will be soldered and not the clip type breadboards.

For more complex designs, I cut a board using ExpressPCB.
For simple digital or high frequency designs, I use Ivan board.  (RF prototyping board from circuit specialists.)
For simple designs, I use standard perf board with holes every 0.1"

<-- Simpler design on perf board.

Note on capacitors: Use the long life caps (>=3000 hrs) even if you have to use a bigger case size in a higher voltage than what the circuit calls for.

Thanx VS.
Just checked out Circuit Specialists and they seem to have a great selection of prototype boards.
I'll give 'em a try.

I like the puddle style boards with a ground plane on one side that has a relief around each hole and a solder pad around each hole on the other side. I think Vector refers to them as PPH/GND (pad per hole/ground plane).

Thanks Doc.
Between these suggestions, I'd have to be stupid or lazy not to find some boards that'll fill my needs.
