I want everybody to feel good about posting pictures even if their equipment doesn't look like Luther's. After I post my Foreplay no one should feel shy about posting theirs.
My Foreplay 2 was built with an outboard power supply from the get go. So there was space for additional caps inside the audio chassis. And I obliged.
Yes, it has a few capacitors. You can see the big "Oilers" behind it.
There are two Oilers in a PDMPS configuration. They are bypassed by 2.2uF PIO KKs and 0.1uF KK Teflons.
The output caps in this picture are 2.2uF Auricaps bypassed with, again, 0.1uF KK Teflons.
And if that looks like a lot of caps, my Seduction is insane!
After looking at this, it isn't current. The Auricaps have been replaced by Obbligato 2.2uF@630V Polypropylene Film in Oil, but still bypassed with a pair of the 0.1uF@200V KK Teflons. I always shrink wrap the KKs because of the aluminum outer casing.

No, but he is my hero. That is 10 KKs of different sorts in a SEX. On second look those might all be Teflon. A few of the KK Teflons are green. And most of the KK POIs are that color of green. It is hard to tell.
I think I have seen this picture before. Where did you find it?

Since my Seduction was also built with an outboard power supply I had room to fit in the two big Solens with a KK POI and a KK Teflon as bypass. I have also changed the interstage to a KK Teflon and the output caps are Obbligato Film/Oil (big boogers) bypassed with KK Teflons. Magically that all fits. But the squeeze is the Paramours. I have changed out every cap that came in it except for the cathode bypass cap which I bypassed. I guess I should post a Bud Tugly Paramour. |
