Kit Selector switch

Grainger and I were discussing an oddity related to my selector switch for FPIII. But General seems like a better place to bring this up.
My particular switch included with my kit doesnt have any "stops". I assumed that all the Bottlehead selectors were made this way, but apparently mine is an oddity.
Anyway, it works fine it seems, the 3 active positions are in the center of rotation but the switch rotates through all 11 (or 10) positions. Of course only the 3 positions are active.
So Im wondering if any of the Bottlehead staff or kit builders have ever run into this before. Grainger and I deduced that they probably just didnt install the "stops" to prevent the switch from
rotating in either direction beyond the 3 active positions. Not a big deal assuming that's all it is. Anyone seen this before or see any issues or is it just the "stops" just being missing like we guess?
Thanks

Yes it sounds like the stops are either missing or out of place inside the switch. One can open the switch by carefully spreading the tabs that hold it together - carefully because the tabs can break off and internal parts can go flying - and checking to see if maybe the stops are just in the wrong place. We are always happy to send out a replacement.

Thanks Doc. That' what we figued regarding it just being the stops. As long as it's only function and not sonic performance, Im ok with it as is. The Belden STP doesnt like the heat and desoldering and re-soldering would likely be more of a mess than it's worth just to have the stops. If change my mind or get bored and/or feel like huffing lead fumes I'll call Eileen and request a replacement.
Thanks
