What amp are you using with your Quickie?

I am using mine with a Magnavox PP EL84 powering a pair of JBL L19's.

I'm running mine/sons into a SE EL84 (A variation of the RH84 as found on the net)
This amp is mostly used for background listening. I don't feel guilty burning EL84's since they are cheap and tough!

I've also plugged into my Paramours for some serious listening.
Sounded pretty good but I found it a tad "bright" and lacked a bit of bass as compared to my Foreplay 2.

I enjoy feeding my Quickie to a Transcendent Sound T-16 O.T.L. on one output,
and a DBX 234 Pro series electronic crossover (set at 60 hz.) into an AB International Precedent 400 on the other output.
This sends a full range signal to my mains and a low pass signal with plenty of "reserve" to my subs.
They do play pretty well together.

First I tried the Quickie through the main in of my Marantz 2285BD, and it sounded great.

Next, I tried my modified Magnavox EL84 PP amp and that also sounded great, much better...

Yesterday I received a $40 Tripath TA2020 based amp, and that sounds shockingly good.  Now I know what all the Tripath fuss was all about.

I'll have to compare the Tripath to the Magnavox.  I'm listening through a pair of Klipsch Forte speakers.

At the moment my Quickie is in my non Bottlehead system with a Heathkit AA1600 amp and Martin Logan electrostatic speakers.  Sounds very nice.

My system at present is Quickie with upgraded caps, Magnavox Amp rebuilt using 6v6 and 6eu7 tubes, my speakers are Axiom m3 and my music source is a Marantz CD53 running thru external DAC. The quickie made a big difference in my system in terms of sound and more gain, before the Quickie I was using a Creek passive preamp didnt sound bad, but not much volume.

Just for fun I connected my Quickie to my SEX amp to a pair of EPI 100 speakers. All I can say is WOW, what a nice sound that combo produces! A couple of years ago I refoamed, rewired, and recapped the EPI's.

We had an Audio Get together in Rochester last week. I had my PJCCS Quickie, Modded with Russian Teflon Caps, connected to the McIntosh Amp then to a nice set of JBL Studio Monitors. The sweet sounds of Derek Truks slide guitar never sounded so good.

Today I had my a fore referenced PJCCS modded Quickie hooked up to my, new to me, Stromberg Carlson ASR 110 SE amplifier. It has been a dream to have an amp that was made in Rochester NY playing in my house, so I am pretty psyched about the new addition. There is not all that much to report other than it sounded good in my workshop. I had it playing for an hour plus, the transformer ran nice and cool. There were no issues at all. The ASR 110 will be replacing my NAD 2400PE amp in my main system as soon as I can install a power switch, change the speaker terminals to binding posts, and install a new fuse holder. I'll update the pics as soon as I get the Amp finished. Hopefully, I'll have my chassis done for the Quickie by then.

I've been using the amp section of my Bryston B60P integrated.  I also had the Quickie hooked up to a Dynaco ST70 (with Curcio upgrades) which sounded really good!

Anyone familiar with the O' Brother Where art thou soundtrack?
