Hey all, strange question. What kind of stain/finish is used on most of the Bottlehead floor models? I can't seem to figure it out exactly, and like the look Tongue


But if it's a well guarded secret, I understand Wink

No stain, that's the natural alder color. I think Shawn is using a water base satin finish like Varathane these days and applying it with a foam brush. Might be one he gets at Ace Hardware? I have always had this image of a guy "inventing" water base finish by accidentally thinning out his Elmer's glue too much.

lol you make a point, kind of a Reese's incident:
