This has NOTHING to do with audio, but i just want to share... i will take down in a week, but just for you guys to see now and laugh your heads off... this one is up there with the gall bladder rectification.... I was at Wendy's in  Indonesia last night, and they have a new menu item they are advertising with a huge poster in their window... It reads in BIG letters.. try our new BAKED POTATO CARBONARA featuring love juice......  not to be crude or anything, but to me, THAT is just a BAD visual!... all the employees gathered around me, and i told them how that reads.. and they just laughed and laughed (they have a great sense of humor) , and so i asked, now WHO, here, is responsible for making the love juice?... and they said it comes from the factory.... ahhh yes, yet another bad visual.... Smiley  they must have enjoyed our discussion, the girl there gave me a free ice cream....

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!  I'll bet I got the same visual you got!

Do you have a side business proof reading translations now?

There was a short article in Playboy back in the 70s.  A woman working at the US embassy in Spain saw a movie marquis that advertized a Clint Eastwood movie.  However, the "L" and "I"" in "CLINT" had been hand written on the film labels too close and someone had read it as a "U".  She called and the marquis was corrected when she walked home that day.

One of my favorite sites for poor translations is engrish.com.  I can spend hours there.

Hi all !  gotta love that Wendys add ... here is one more.... a company by the name of WTB makes bicycle seats , in the middle of the seat ,down the middle they incorporate a " love channel " . Guess it relieves the pressure so you are able to get some lovin' after your ride .

haha, yeah, it saves the "Love Beads"....thats funny.....over here, it is more the correct implementation of english than it is translation. I should peddle my wares as a consultant, yes..  the clint poster would be a priceless collectible.. I will return and ask if i can have this poster also...it could be the "poster child" of exactly what NOT to say in a professionally done restaurant advertisement... i just checked out the engrish.com site.. and yeah , you are right, i had to tear myself away...i had some real health enhancing laughs... everybody should start the day by reading 1 of those... thanks for the link i will check the rest of them out later...

I am NOT trying to search for this stuff, just living  a normal life..Well, last night i wanted to buy some green tea... like sri lanka (ceylon), china and india , tea here is nice so i chose an upscale looking package from a local top quality producer... and while observing the carton i ran across their product promotional verbage... it reads....... "is prepared from the chosen centuries old quality tea plants which also contains tea plant parasites"....My my, dont they just have the knack for making things sound as delicious as possible!! In the end, i did buy it. Figuring the added protein would make for a more complete breakfast.... Smiley And sure, they mention the quality of the tea leaves, but nothing regarding the quality of the parasites!!........
