I thought I'd share this little project I just completed.
Had a bit of spare time in the shop and came up with this...

It's modeled after an Anschutz air piston..... but shoots rubber bands

With the tight rubber band I can shoot a quarter roughly 8 out of 10 times from 10ft away.
Try that with a finger!?

That is beautiful wood!  And great craftsmanship!

How do you get the software to post two pictures at the same time?  Do they have to be ULRs or can you upload two from your computer?

Oh man, that is gorgeous. That would be the ultimate gun for hunting those big fat "slow buzz" houseflies that come indoors when the weather starts to get cold. We need to find you more spare time in the shop so we can see what else you come up with! Do you shoot a .22 target pistol too?

Thank you for your kind words.

The stock is laminated Baltic Birch Plywood with 4 coats of Minwax 2-1 stain.
Working the stock to completion took as much time as building the action.

It sure could take out large house flies! You can even shoot though a door knob hole at 12-14ft. Rubber bands are inconsistent but it’s fairly accurate and is sure a cool show piece and a topic of conversation.

Really fun at the office…once people know what it is! Lol

I don’t shoot “real” had gun’s but do have a .22cal Anschutz rifle (among others rifles) that I target shoot (and plink) with.  My father and I used to do a lot of hunting together. His eye sight is ailing and my “family” life seems to be taking most of my time. Setting up a small target range in the house seem to give me a few minutes of entertainment.
Working in the shop building amps and stuff like this helps pass the time. I’ll post a few more.

Taking orders… hmmm, well I’m sure a second one would go together faster but I’m not sure if I could even pay for my time… lol
I should put a “kit” together! Lol

As for posting pics… nothing special. I just upload them from my computer. Just click the attachment link in the "Additional Options" section.

I have an Anschutz target rifle as well, an older 1407. Great gun for rat hunting.

Now you will need to start researching which rubber bands are the most accurate and which have the best fly stopping power...

Yours can stand with the best of them. Check out this machined metal version from Japan. http://kazkin.exblog.jp/9533668/

Whew!

Once I saw that it had a laser sight, I had to watch the video!
That sent me on a wild web search for the price. Thank god I didn't find one.
I guess buying a real O scope is still on track.

You can pick up a trigger guard mounted laser for less than $20 on Ebay. I picked up a similar one with a palm grip pressure switch for my airsoft MP5 a few years back. Lots of fun.

Yes, I've seen the Kaskin guns a while back and it inspired me a bit.
A few years ago a bought my Father a semi auto (rapid fire) wooden rubber band gun. Fun, but not very accurate.
When I saw the Kaskin gun... I thought, hey, I could make that, no problem!

Here's another one a made a few months ago... and it has a laser sight Smiley
It's sighted in for 12-14ft. About the length of my living room.
Again, it's all about the rubber band and how you load it. The laser is cool but it really takes the marksmanship out of it...lol!

Fairly easy to make if you have a metal bandsaw, drill press and a few files.

You sure do some sweet stuff. I love working metal, just don't get much time for it. Luckily I have a buddy with the machine shop. The best tools are the ones you don't have to buy.

I just turned these the other day for my speakers.

For something a little more involved, these CNC feet I did for my Foreplay.

Thank you.
Nice feet! (That sounded a bit weird lol)
I love turning metal, very therapeutic.

If you are interested, I can e-mail you the plans I drafted up of the last gun. It’s a fairly basic design and could be cut out in no time.
Now, it you had access to a CNC Plasma cutter or a Flow Jet, let’s talk!

Attached is a another thing I like to make....
