Hi All,

Wanted to share some photos of my newly tweaked system. Mike Paschetto (Mikey)...one of the forum's fine members really did an exceptional job for me recently. I shipped him a pair of Paramount amps along with some really nice 1.125" thick claro dark walnut planks. The planks were a bookmatched pair nearly 50" long apiece. He planed them down baby smooth to 1" and also cut a low relief at the bottom and a nice 1/4" chamfer up top. The wood grain/figure also wraps nicely around each bend with great continuity. Lastly, Mike stained and oiled them as well. The bases are just absolutely lovely. Mike does incredible work. I just wanted to share them with everyone. The speakers by the way are custom built Cain & Cain "IM-Ben" single drivers. Best, Tyler

Thanks so much. I am in love with rich hardwoods...plus they serve an important function especially in my rack. Those 4" maple platforms under the turntable and under those two other components really keep those pieces vibration free. The isolation feet which are made from rubber and cork beneath those platforms also help.

Lots of beautiful wood.  The Paramounts with a thicker and taller base takes on a much squarer look.  It gives us a different perspective.  I like it.

Is there enough air flow at the bottom of the base?
