Hi,

I posted on this forum a while back while it was still opened through the Audio Asylum. I just today became a member of this site at it appears here so please bare with me as I fumble through the correct subjects to ask my questions. This question might be related to Paul Joppa or Doc Bottlehead personally.

I was wondering what your thoughts were on a DC coupled design. Can it be done to any of your amps? I was doing some reading on the benefits of no capacitors in the signal path so I wanted to entertain possibly building a DC coupled design just to see what it sounds like. I would buy one of your kits and modify it if it can be done.

Thanks!
Paul

The Paramount is DC coupled when in 2A3 mode; that's because it's the latest incarnation of the Paraglow which was the parafeed version of the Afterglow. Bottlehead has had a DC coupled 2A3 amp since 1997!

The Foreplay preamp and the Eros phono preamp are also internally direct coupled.
