My version of the PAramour SR-45

Here's my recently completed SR-45 based on the Paramour. Magnequest PGP 8.1 for power, Schottkey full wave rectifier going to CLC filter (0.68uF 20H 200uF). Puts out 372V to the shunt regulator. Magnequest EXO-45 Ni for output, CP-06006 for plate choke (sort of a souped up BCP-15). The chassis plate can accomodate the Bottlehead BH-5 and BH-6 also. I'm getting 1.1 mV output noise that is not a problem at all with my speakers. Just need someone to make me an exotic base now. My woodworking skills stink.

Very nicely done! A base should not be hard at all. You are only limited by your imagination. Also, you might pickup some Happich Simichrome and hand polish those cans.

That looks
great
!
I love the long slender chassis, with the main items aligned down the center.
One of these days I'm going to rebuild my SR-45's in a pair of new chassis,
and they will look very similar to yours.
I've attached a couple of renderings below:
So, how do they sound? :-)

Based on limited listening, I'm very pleased with the sound. I only completed the amp a couple of days ago, so the variety of music I've heard on it is quite small. I did notice a distinct change with music that has multiple guitars (early Byrds, for example); I seem to be able to pick out the individual players more easily. Hard to set up when balancing the amp on three aerosol cans though!.

Great looking amp Ducati guy! I think you will love the sound! I am enamored with mine.
Mikey your amps look awesome already too. But your renderings seem to look a bit like a dragracer - all thats missing is the little parachute at the back!!!!
Mine will be rebuilt in a hockey stick style base....
