There have been a couple of questions about soldering stations recently.  There were two Weller stations in the catalog:

"Cheap" Weller  The sale price is $39.99

Much Better Weller The sale price is $119.99

To get these prices enter source code AJT23C when ordering.

Even Weller can make a less expensive station.  It has replaceable heating elements and replaceable tips.

The good one will last a lifetime unless you repair electronics for a living.

Using multiple irons over ~40 years, it is easier to make good solder joints using the irons that regulate the tip temperature.

Note: I saw a HAKKO with a regulated tip for ~60 dollars and can't find the flier ad to post.
