6n1 in Eros?

Can a 6n1 (China) be used in the Eros?

No. It draws too much heater current, and its output impedance is too high. Use 6922 or 7308.

How about the Russian 6H23-EB? It is supposed to be the same as a 6922.

The 6H23-EB works well in the Seduction.  I would expect it would work as well because the second stage of the Eros is designed around the second stage in the Seduction. (PJ has since said it is set up very similar to the Seduction second stage, so yes, the 6H23 is good.  The -EB version is a higher tolerance version and I am using them now in my Seduction.)

But just in case someone asks, the 6N1P draws more heater current than a 6922.
