There doesn't seem to be any good place to be discussing the upcoming DAC.  So I'm asking if maybe there should be one in the products section?  There's one for Stereomour, so why not one for the DAC?  Just curious.

For the time being DAC is down in the "other gear” section under Digital
I am sure it will be moved up here as Doc, John and PJ get closer to a real kit.
We could start a Bottlehead DAC naming contest, I think release is close enough for that to be relevant.

Couldn't hurt to get started on naming!

For the current prototype version, there's a heavily modified Seduction serving as the I/V gain stage, which Doc is calling the SeDACtion. Guys and gals, we can do better than that can't we?

My candidate for the digital name is "Magic Fingers". SURELY we can do better than that!!

I have posted a few times on new names that I still love the flow of the mojo of the existing Bottlehead naming conventions.... in which case, for me it's gotta come after the PICK-UP (the transport, if not the Bottlehead cartridge kit for vinyl lovers), and before the FOREPLAY. This would make it the FLIRT, the DALLIANCE, the ADVANCE(which I think loses because there is one out there already with that name), and then a few other names which get more explicitly on the road to where one is going...

Travisty, I had suggested the Flirt as a SUT name coming before Seduction somewhere way back.  But wouldn't it be something before Foreplay?  Yup, Flirt is before Foreplay... Maybe something else?

The Dance?  Connection?  I'm pretty lame at this.

How about PSYCHE? Maybe not the greatest product name, but it goes with EROS :-)

Grainger, I do like Flirt as a SUT name. I guess the problem there is going to be we might not get one, and therefore would leave your name unused (given the margin on wrapping wire, tough to see how Doc & Queenie could make it worth their while except as a rebadge of someone else's (which they have not done elsewhere on transformers)).

I believe Attraction is used by someone else for a DAC name (Altmann).

SeDACtion might actually work, at least on the forum. Bottlehead community communication, is (as far as I know) more written than spoken. The problem may be when Bottleheads gather.

I'll ponder some more...

I told you it was a good name. :-)

Didn't Doc post a couple of months back about a Chateau Bottlehead meet where the Bottlehead prototype SUTs were to be payed?

Yes we have some prototypes here that sound wonderful. We are still working on getting them adequately shielded for production.

Cool. Sounds like we got "Flirt" covered.
Now we have to get Magic Fingers beat.
