I dont want my own forum,  I have a loftier goal ...  Im going to stick around until they use my moniker for naming one of the Bottlehead kits  :-)

well more likely some future model for the septuagenarian would be the Levitra

BTW, if your health care provider invites you to participate in a clinical study that includes a TRUS prostate biopsly (well, actually it was several over the year of the study) - respectfully decline

Several over the year - would that qualify it for hobby status?

Prostate prose from the emedicine site:

"Early investigators in prostatic ultrasonography conducted experiments with ultrasound probes and recording devices. One of the earliest devices was a chair-type apparatus with a probe mounted in the center of the chair. The patient sat on the probe, which was guided into the rectum. Improvements in gray-scale ultrasound display and multiplanar scanning have resulted in user-friendly hand-held probes...the role of transrectal ultrasonography (TRUS) has changed; it is mainly used to visualize the prostate and to aid in guided needle biopsy...TRUS has become an extension of the urologist's finger in the early detection of prostate cancer. Well this thread has gone to $hit!

I asked my bother in law, a doctor, how doctors learn prostate exams.  He said just how they learned to give injections, on each other... I thought.  I asked if they found many bad prostates in a group of 21-24 year olds.  He said there was usually one in the class.  Then everybody had to learn what a bad one was like.

I feel sorry for that Med student!

He did mention non-paying patients as well.
